So much to say!

Callen has a lot to say.  And with so much emotion! 

Callen can't sit unsupported just yet, but he is good at sitting up against the back or armrest of a chair.  

Callen likes to practice standing on his strong legs.  When he is sitting down (or laying down) he will hold onto my fingers and I can pull him up to a stand. He is strong enough to keep his neck in line with his body and keep his back straight.

Callen got really excited to take a bath and couldn't wait to get in the bathtub! He loves bath time and kicking his feet in the water.

It has been a long week for all of us! The day finally arrived and I had to return to work.  This past Monday (3/12/12) was my first day back and Callen's first day with his sitter.  What an adjustment for both of us....getting used to getting up on time, getting everyone ready, trying to get into a routine and then being separated for 8 hours!!  I was very fortunate to stay home for the first 12 weeks of Callen's life!! Only a few weeks until I am on spring break and then only  8-9 weeks until I am off for the summer and I will be able to snuggle on Callen all day!

Callen is becoming more and more "interactive".  He laughs, smiles, and giggles all the time.  He "flirts" with everyone and loves to flash a grin.  The once "hated" swing is now a source of entertainment! He loves to stare at himself in the mirror! (There are a lot of pictures... couldn't pick just a few!!)

Another beautiful day in March means its nice enough to hang out, barefoot, on PopPop's porch.

Aaron has been so busy working full time and working towards his degree that on the weekends he sometimes escapes from the office to spend time with the family.  Callen wanted to practice sitting tall on daddy's back.

Another warm day in February in NC.  Callen loves the fresh air and it helps him get ready for naptime so we spend as much time outside as we can.  Its hard taking self portraits with a 11 week old who doesn't want to look at the camera. :-)

Callen is becoming attached to his blue burp cloth.  Will it be his "night-night" that we will someday have to part with? Or is he just exploring how to grasp things? 

Callen gets to talk to his grandma and grandpa in Kentucky almost everyday. He was talking to grandma about the KY Wildcats recent win.

Callen loves to hear his grandpa on the telephone. :-)

 Right before Callen was born in December, my sister and her family had to move to Oklahoma for Mike's job.  Unfortunately, Callen has not met his Aunt Tamara or cousins Olivia and Gavin... yet! Uncle Mike however came to town for a quick visit.  He only had a few minutes to stop in and meet Callen. I wish I had gotten a better picture of Callen smiling, but he was sound asleep when Uncle Mike got here.  Since time was short, we had to wake sweet Callen. 

Savanah was excited to see Mike.
