Catching up..

Thank you for your patience as I learn how to blog. My goal is to have friends and family, near and far, watch Callen grow and develop along with us.  Now that Callen is sleeping longer and sleeping in his bassinet for naps, I have more time to work on this project.  That means I am going through hundreds of pictures and videos, trying to find the best of the best, to show off!  I am almost caught up with the first 11 weeks and then it will be easier to maintain. I will update a few times a month, so check back often!

February 19, 2012... 10 weeks

The weather was beautiful today! Low 70s in February! You have to love NC! Aaron and I enjoyed taking a great walk with Callen in the beautiful sunshine.  Afterwards, we enjoyed some time on the back porch.  The sunshine and blue skies really brought out some smiles.

Weeks 8-11

Callen is growing bigger everyday! He is full of smiles and giggles! The best time of day for me is when he first wakes up. He loves to coo and tell me all about his dreams.  The smiles grow bigger everyday.  He is more and more responsive to voices, especially mommy and daddy.  He doesn't want to be held as much. He'd rather be on his blanket, taking everything in.  He loves to kick and squirm, laugh and giggle, and just be sweet.  He doesn't like it, but we practice "tummy time" everyday.  He grunts with frustration, but he's learning to kick his feet and hold his chest up.  Pretty soon he will be crawling and rolling over! 

Callen was discovering his new voice in this video.  It was taken 3 days before his 1 month "birthday" on January 5, 2012.

Weeks 1-8

What an exciting first month.  Callen came home from the hospital on December 12, 2011.  His first month was busy! Callen had his first Christmas.  He also got to meet his MeMaw and PaPaw when they visited from Kentucky.   We are learning so much about each other! Callen sleeps a lot! He wakes to smile and eat and get his diaper changed. Occassionally we get a silly face.
